Obama – the Face of Rome Fashion Week 2009

The fifteenth edition of the AltaRomAltaModa high fashion show caused a stir as much as for the quality and style of the designs as the industry’s concerns over the global economic meltdown.
Amongst this year’s Spring/Summer collections at Rome Fashion Week several designers caught the eye. While very much a spotlight on the Italian capital’s fashion industry, and hence a show case for local design talents, world events and contemporary issues (for instance, the preference for environmentally-friendly fabrics) left their mark on the passerella (or catwalk).
